What You’ll Need in an Emergency

"So, let’s say I’m a member, I’m in the hospital, and I’m in a bad way. What’s next?"

Great question!

First things first:

  • Is your condition life-threatening?
  • Will you benefit from air transportation to another facility?

If your doctor and the CareJet Medical Director answer yes to both of these questions, medical and flight crew are immediately being alerted, and transport preparation is likely already under way.

“But, how do I get ready? It’s not like I can just go home and pack my bags?”

Another great question!

Here’s where planning can help save you time. Ideally, each member should have someone to sign off on their transport. This can be a family member, friend, or coworker who can get to your passport (having one isn’t always necessary but it makes the process easier), pack some of your necessities, and if possible accompany you on the jet to your destination.

If you don’t have someone to look after you, don’t despair. Our team will work hard to get everything in order for you anyway. But, it’s important to remember that in a crisis situation time is of the essence, and a responsible designated travel partner can save you time when it counts the most.
