There are schedulers, flight coordinators, medical crews, pilots and countless others invested and involved in CareJet’s lifesaving missions.
From the moment we get your call, we’re clearing the way for the care that could save a life! The CareJet Dispatch Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. With schedulers trained in international aircraft scheduling, patients can rest assured that the necessary permits, visas, and air ambulance flight authorizations are secured promptly for clearance through to the major hospitals and specialty clinics in your region. All communication between the patient’s physician, insurance providers, and receiving facilities is tracked by the schedulers on duty throughout the flight planning and transfer process.
As the aircraft is checked and readied for flight, the flight crew is filing flight plans and assessing weather information.
CareJet’s medical coordinators gather specific details of the patient’s condition and activate the appropriate flight crew and medical team, all the while coordinating up-to-the-minute instructions between air and ground teams. The Medical Director confers with attending and receiving physicians to ensure the patient is cleared for transport. Medical coordinators also arrange ground ambulance transport (manned by our medical team) straight to the emergency room doors of the destination hospital.
To ensure a seamless transfer between the patient’s point of origin and the receiving hospital, CareJet partners with licensed and reputable ground ambulance services and helicopter operators that are experienced with our protocols and handling procedures.
All of this effort comes together quickly and efficiently to get you to your destination safely. All it takes is a single phone call; the rest is up to CareJet.
